Department of Commerce Announces Finalization of CHIPS R&D Award with Anderon

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Commerce announced today the signing of a final R&D award of up to $1 billion to Anderon, a newly formed subsidiary of IBM, under the CHIPS and Science Act. This award will strengthen the domestic semiconductor supply chain and national security by advancing semiconductor R&D and accelerating Anderon’s efforts to establish a new quantum semiconductor foundry.
